Social Media Intern
Lafayette American, a new kind of creative and strategic shop, is seeking a new kind of social media intern for a summer engagement. One that thinks beyond the familiar platforms and strategies for using them. One that pushes our team to go deeper into the corners of the internet to discover and deliver breakthrough solutions to our clients.
This position will assist the Lafayette American team and our clients with social strategy, insights, trends, and assets to use in new and novel ways.
This position will report to the Chief Innovation Officer.
This is a paid internship.
Assisting in the management of social accounts for clients
Identifying new platforms and trends
Content curation and strategy
Content creation (meme making, GIF altering, photo and video)
Skills / Qualifications:
Obsessed with social media platforms and the best ways to engage audiences in owned and paid channels.
Interested in the intersection of how brands and individuals use social platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of measurement and optimization.
Expertise in digital media.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or similar alternatives.
Openness to miscellaneous tasks as needs may vary from program to program.
